Morgan Midwood is a product of the careful structure of middle-class suburbia: He's got a college degree, a beautiful girlfriend and a steady, promising job at his father’s furniture store. He's also bored, unfulfilled and deeply angry, and his flailing struggle to rebel against the rigor of his life has proved both futile and self-destructive -- he's been arrested, cheated on, thrown out of his apartment and is on the verge of being fired.

Complicating matters is Morgan's tenuous but vital relationship with Nick, his care-free, underachieving best friend. Morgan, strapped to a seemingly inescapable machine, feels like his life is already over; Nick, with both feet still planted in the selfish idleness of childhood, isn't ready for his to begin. Writer/director Sean Hartofilis' script is a timely, heartfelt and deeply funny examination of the search for meaning and fulfillment in the uncharted transition toward adulthood.
